HHS CHMI Voldeng Gym Conditioning & Ceiling Repairs

Background
The Iowa Department of Administrative Services is issuing a Request for Bids (RFB #937400-01) for Gym Ceiling and Conditioning Repairs at the Cherokee Mental Health Institute located in Cherokee, Iowa.
The goal of this contract is to address necessary repairs to the gym ceiling and improve the HVAC conditioning system within the facility.

Work Details
The project includes the following work:
1. General Construction: All work as described in the Construction Documents.
2. Mechanical Work: Installation of new HVAC systems, including air conditioning units and associated ductwork. Specific tasks include removing existing blower coils and exhaust fans, installing new classroom air conditioners, and ensuring all mechanical work conforms to local, state, and national codes.
3. Electrical Work: Demolition of existing electrical fixtures and installation of new fixtures as per architectural requirements. This includes ensuring all electrical work meets applicable codes and providing as-built drawings upon completion.

Period of Performance
Construction is anticipated to begin in April 2025 and conclude by June 20th, 2025.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the Cherokee Mental Health Institute located at 1251 W Cedar Loop, Cherokee, Iowa 51012.
