DAS TH Carriage House Roof Replacement

Background
The Iowa Department of Administrative Services is seeking bids for the replacement of the existing wood shingled roof and EPDM roof at the Terrace Hill Carriage House located in Des Moines, Iowa.
This project aims to preserve the historical integrity of the building while ensuring its functionality and safety.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
- Replacement of existing wood shingled roof and EPDM roof.
- Removal of current 2-1/2" crown molding and replacement with new 3" crown molding to match existing profile, assuming 210 linear feet for removal and replacement.
- Painting of gutters, downspouts, fascia, flashing, and roof vents.
- Installation of new ice and water shield per roof plan with new underlayment.
- Installation of new copper flashing with a 1" 'V' crimp.
- Infill of abandoned roof curbs.
- Compliance with National Historic Landmark treatment procedures as specified in Section 01 3591.

Period of Performance
Construction is anticipated to begin on July 02, 2025, and conclude by August 06, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Terrace Hill Carriage House located at 2300 Grand Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa 50312.
