Construction of Boone Pole building and Salt Storage Structure

Background
The Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) is seeking competitive bids for the construction of a new Pole Building and Salt Storage Structure in Boone, IA.
The goal of this contract is to enhance the infrastructure capabilities of the DOT, ensuring efficient storage and operational facilities.

Work Details
The project includes two main scopes:
1) Construction of a new wood pole building with metal wall and roof panels, including exhaust fans and grading around the building as per attached drawings and specifications.
2) Construction of a new salt storage building, also made from wood pole with metal wall and roof panels, along with grading around the building as specified in the provided documents.

Period of Performance
The estimated start date for the contract is July 1, 2025, with an estimated completion date of June 30, 2026.
Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM CT or as coordinated with the site supervisor.

Place of Performance
The construction will take place in Boone, Iowa.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with Iowa Administrative Code procedures.
The contract will be awarded to the responsible bidder whose submission is most advantageous to the Iowa DOT based on cost and other factors such as meeting mandatory requirements and proposed staffing.
No work may begin prior to July 1, 2025.
