ALJ and Workman's Comp Renovation

Background
The Iowa Department of Administrative Services is issuing a Request for Bids (RFB #941100-01) for the renovation of office space and associated HVAC and electrical improvements at the office building located at 6200 Park Ave, Des Moines, IA 50321.

The project aims to enhance the functionality and efficiency of the workspace used for Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) and Workman's Compensation operations. The anticipated construction timeline is from October 3, 2024, to February 10, 2025.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
- Renovation of office space
- HVAC improvements
- Electrical improvements

- Division 02: Existing Conditions (Demolition)
- Division 03: Concrete (Cast-in-place concrete, concrete patching)
- Division 06: Wood, Plastics, and Composites (Rough carpentry, architectural wood casework)
- Division 07: Thermal and Moisture Protection (Patching of existing roofing, sheet metal flashing)
- Division 08: Openings (Hollow metal doors and frames, flush wood doors)
- Division 09: Finishes (Gypsum board assemblies, acoustical ceilings)
- Division 21: Fire Suppression
- Division 22: Plumbing
- Division 23: HVAC
- Division 26: Electrical

Period of Performance
Construction is expected to commence on October 3, 2024, and conclude by February 10, 2025.
