Wastewater Pumping at Haleiwa Small Boat Harbor

Background
The State Department of Land and Natural Resources, Division of Boating and Ocean Recreation (DOBOR) is seeking bids for wastewater pumping and disposal services at Haleiwa Small Boat Harbor. The contract aims to ensure proper management of wastewater at the harbor, which is essential for maintaining environmental standards and supporting the recreational boating community.

Work Details
The contractor will provide monthly wastewater pumping and disposal services for a period of twelve (12) months. The specific requirements include:

- Up to eight (8) truck loads per month from two septic tanks, if needed, with each load being 1500 gallons. This totals a maximum of 48 loads over the contract period.

- One septic tank is located near the harbor office and another near the restroom next to Haleiwa Road. Each septic tank measures approximately 6 feet wide by 8 feet deep.

- An allowance fund is available for additional work as determined necessary by the State, though there is no guarantee that this fund will be utilized.

- The contractor must respond to requests for service within 24 hours of being contacted by the Haleiwa Harbor Agent.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a twelve-month period, commencing from the official date on the Notice to Proceed.

The services will be performed at Haleiwa Small Boat Harbor, located in Haleiwa, Hawaii.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be certified by the State Department of Health (DOH) and authorized to pump and dispose of wastewater into a DOH-approved facility. Vendors are required to have all applicable permits, licenses, and insurances necessary for providing these services. Additionally, bidders must comply with Hawaii Compliance Express requirements for tax clearance and good standing.
