Interpretation and Translation Services

Background
The City and County of Honolulu is seeking to procure interpretation and translation services to support its mission of effective communication across diverse languages. The goal of this contract is to provide timely and accurate language services for various city departments, ensuring accessibility for all residents.

Work Details
The contractor will provide interpretation and translation services in multiple languages, including but not limited to Cantonese, Chuukese, Ilocano, Japanese, Korean, Laotian, Mandarin, Marshallese, Spanish, Tagalog, Thai, Vietnamese, Arabic, Bulgarian, Burmese, French, German, Palauan, Persian, Pohnpeian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Samoan, Taiwanese, Tongan, Turkish, Visayan, Yapese.

The services include:
1. Scheduled Interpreter Sessions:
- Base Session Charge (up to 2 hours per session)
- Additional Session Charge (exceeding 2 hours per session)
- Cancellation Charge
2. On-Demand Interpreter Sessions (24/7 availability):
- Base Session Charge (up to 2 hours per session)
- Additional Session Charge (exceeding 2 hours per session)
- Cancellation Charge
3. Written Translation Services: Offerors must confirm their capability to provide written translation services.
4. Specialty Interpreter Services: Offerors must confirm their capability to source specialty interpreter services.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a specified period as outlined in the solicitation documents.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed within the City and County of Honolulu.

Bidder Requirements
Offerors must comply with specific certifications and requirements as stated in the solicitation. This includes being a Hawaii business or a non-Hawaii business not incorporated under Hawaii laws. Offerors must also agree to submit their offers in accordance with general instructions and conditions attached to the solicitation.
