Furnishing Refuse Collection Service for the Oahu District

Background
The State of Hawaii's Department of Land and Natural Resources, specifically the Division of Boating and Ocean Recreation, is seeking a contractor to provide refuse collection services for various facilities in the Oahu District. The goal of this contract is to ensure proper waste management at public facilities, including small boat harbors and launch ramps, in accordance with established specifications and legal requirements.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide labor, transportation, equipment, and refuse containers necessary for the collection and disposal of refuse from the following Oahu District Facilities:

- Ala Wai Small Boat Harbor
- Keehi Small Boat Harbor
- Haleiwa Small Boat Harbor
- Waianae Small Boat Harbor
- Heeia Kea Small Boat Harbor
- Sand Island Launch Ramp

A total of thirty-six (36) containers will be provided at these locations. The contractor must ensure that all refuse collected is disposed of properly and that containers are maintained in good condition. Additionally, the contractor is responsible for documenting any overages in refuse collected outside the containers with photographs and must adhere to specific collection schedules for each facility.

Period of Performance
The contract will be for a twelve (12) month period commencing from the official date specified in the Notice to Proceed. It may be extended for up to five (5) additional twelve-month periods upon mutual agreement.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at various locations within the Oahu District, including:

- Ala Wai SBH (1651 Ala Moana Boulevard, Honolulu)
- Keehi SBH (4 Sand Island Access Road, Honolulu)
- Haleiwa SBH (66-105 Haleiwa Road)
- Waianae SBH (85-491 Farrington Highway)
- Heeia Kea SBH (46-499 Kamehameha Highway)
- Sand Island Launch Ramp (10 Sand Island Parkway).
