Furnish and Deliver Digger Derrick Truck and Aerial Bucket Truck

Background
The Department of Facility Maintenance (DFM) is seeking to procure digger derrick trucks and aerial bucket trucks to enhance its operational capabilities. The goal of this contract is to ensure the provision of vehicles that meet or exceed the City’s minimum specifications, thereby supporting the maintenance and infrastructure needs of the City and County of Honolulu.

Work Details
The contractor shall furnish and deliver two types of vehicles:

1. **Digger Derrick Truck**:
- Model: New, current production model meeting all emission, efficiency, performance, and safety standards.
- Specifications include a 35,000 lbs. GVWR truck cab and chassis, hydraulic telescoping continuous rotation derrick with pole guide & insulated upper boom, pole cradles, service body.
- Cab: Two-door conventional cab made from aluminum or fiberglass with heavy-duty features.
- Engine: Diesel fueled with minimum 300 gross horsepower.
- Safety features including dual air brakes, ABS compliance, and various lighting systems.
- Additional requirements for training personnel in operation and maintenance procedures.

2. **Aerial Bucket Truck**:
- Similar specifications as above with additional focus on aerial lift capabilities.
- Must meet all safety regulations and provide necessary training for operators.

The contractor is responsible for shop drawings submission, vehicle registration in the name of the City, safety compliance checks, delivery inspections, and providing a factory-trained instructor for vehicle operation training.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and will continue until all vehicles are delivered and accepted by the City. Specific timelines for delivery will be outlined in Appendix B: Term/Schedule of Work.

Place of Performance
The vehicles will be delivered to designated locations within the City and County of Honolulu.
