Dump Truck

Background
The City and County of Honolulu's Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) is seeking to procure one (1) dump truck to support its operations.
The goal of this contract is to furnish and deliver a vehicle that meets specific operational requirements and standards for the DPR.

Work Details
The contractor is required to furnish and deliver one (1) dump truck with the following specifications:
- Model: New, current production model meeting all emission, efficiency, performance, and safety standards.
- Cab: Two-door conventional cab, steel or aluminum construction, with a tilting fiberglass or composite hood, rubber floor mats, safety glass rear window, tinted glass, and noise insulation.
- GVWR: 35,000 lb maximum.
- Frame: 2,000,000 lbs/in per rail.
- Wheelbase: Sufficient length for cab/axle offered.
- Front Axle Capacity: 12,000 lb; Rear Axle Capacity: 23,000 lb with full locking differential.
- Electrical System: 12 volts with two batteries rated at 1500 CCA total.
- Transmission: Automatic electronic 6-speed transmission (Allison 3500RDSP or approved substitute).
- Engine: Diesel powered with minimum 400 gross horsepower and torque of 1,250 ft/lb.
- Dump Body: Approximately 16’ long and 8’ wide with a hydraulic hoist of fifteen (15) ton capacity.
- Additional features include auxiliary lighting, two-way radio installation (Motorola Model APX4500 Enhanced), air conditioning system, toolbox storage, air compressor installation (Dewalt D55250 or approved substitute), and various safety features including seat belts conforming to federal standards.

Period of Performance
The contract period will be specified in Appendix B: Term/Schedule of Work but is expected to commence upon award and delivery of the vehicle.

Place of Performance
The dump truck will be delivered to the Department of Parks and Recreation in Honolulu, Hawaii.
