Deep Cleaning Services at the Hilo International Airport

Background
The Hilo International Airport is seeking a contractor to provide deep cleaning services to maintain a hygienic and well-maintained environment. The goal of this contract is to ensure that the airport's carpeting and restroom floors are cleaned according to industry best practices, enhancing the overall cleanliness and safety for travelers and staff.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide the following deep cleaning services:

A. Deep Cleaning & Carpet Shampooing
- Pre-inspection to assess stains, traffic wear, and treatment needs.
- Pre-vacuuming to remove loose dirt and debris.
- Spot treatment for high-traffic and stained areas.
- Application of industry-approved carpet cleaning solution.
- Hot water extraction (steam cleaning) or low-moisture encapsulation cleaning.
- Post-cleaning deodorization and drying to prevent mold/mildew.
Approximate Square Feet: 39,716 sq. ft.
Frequency: Every other month or six (6) times per year as needed.

B. Hard Floor Cleaning & Burnishing
- Pre-sweep and dust mop to remove loose dirt and debris.
- Deep scrub using a low-speed floor machine with neutral floor cleaner.
- Wet mopping and rinsing to remove cleaning residues.
- High-speed burnishing using appropriate floor finish and buffing pads.
- Application of additional coats of finish (if required) for shine and durability.
Floor Types Covered: Luxury Vinyl Plank
Approximate Square Feet: 10,111 sq. ft.
Frequency: Every other month or six (6) times per year as needed.

C. Deep Cleaning of Bathroom Floors
- Removal of loose debris and pre-treatment of stained areas.
- Application of heavy-duty disinfectant and degreaser.
- Machine scrubbing of tile and grout using a rotary brush or auto-scrubber.
- High-pressure rinse and wet vacuum extraction.
- Final mop and drying for a clean, slip-resistant surface.
Floor Types Covered: Ceramic/Porcelain tile
Approximate Square Feet: 1,879 sq. ft.
Frequency: Every other week or two (2) times per month as needed.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed on an ongoing basis with specific frequencies outlined for each type of cleaning service, including every other month for carpet shampooing and hard floor cleaning, as well as bi-weekly for bathroom floor deep cleaning.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the Hilo International Airport.
