Strategic Plan Development Consultant

Background
Drew Charter School, located in Atlanta, Georgia, is seeking proposals from qualified partners to lead the development of an updated 5-year strategic plan for the years 2025 to 2030. The school, which opened in 2000, serves a diverse student body and is committed to removing economic and social barriers to education.

The need for an updated strategic plan has become critical due to the impacts of the post-pandemic world on academics and school operations. The previous strategic plan was adopted in July 2020, and the school aims to keep equity at the core of its work as it moves forward.

Work Details
The selected consultant will be responsible for leading a comprehensive process to create an updated strategic plan that includes:
1. Engaging with stakeholders including students, parents, staff, and community members.
2. Conducting a thorough analysis of current academic performance, wellness initiatives, and operational effectiveness.
3. Identifying key areas for improvement and setting measurable goals aligned with Drew's mission.
4. Drafting a formal strategic plan that will be presented to the board for adoption by April 2025, with a draft ready by mid-February 2025.
5. Ensuring that equity remains central throughout the planning process.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on or about November 4, 2024, with the planning process officially launching in early November 2024 and concluding with board adoption by April 2025.
