Runway 9-27 Lighting and Signage Improvements

Background
Cobb County is requesting sealed bids for construction of the Runway 9-27 Lighting & Signage Improvements project located at Cobb County International Airport, 1723 McCollum Pkwy NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. The 'Project' generally consists of the installation of new edge lights and signs serving Runway 9-27 at the Cobb County International Airport (RYY). Funding for this project will be Federal funding. The Project is required to comply with State and Federal statutes, rules, and regulations, as well as those of Cobb County, including local permitting of the project.

Work Details
The 'Project' generally consists of the installation of new edge lights and signs serving Runway 9-27 at the Cobb County International Airport (RYY).
More specifically, the project includes the installation of new base-mounted LED High-Intensity Runway Lights (HIRL) with LED High-Intensity In-Pavement Lights as necessary; new LED Runway Distance Remaining Signs (RDR); new LED Runway Exit Signs and Mandatory Signs; and new base-mounted LED Runway Threshold Lights.
In addition, the project includes conduit between light fixtures, concrete pads for signs, associated homerun cabling to the existing vault, counterpoise, manholes or handholes as needed, and a new Runway 9/27 Regulator with the existing electrical vault.
The contractor shall review and take into consideration all plans and specifications provided by the County for this project.

Period of Performance
BID Submittal Deadline: Thursday, April 25th, 2024, before 12:00 pm Noon (EST).
The contract performance bond shall remain in force for one year from the date of project acceptance by the County.
