RFP for DEBRIS REMOVAL SERVICES

Background
The Ware County Board of Commissioners is seeking proposals from qualified individuals or firms for debris removal services as part of disaster recovery efforts. This contract aims to ensure efficient cleanup, demolition, removal, reduction, and disposal of debris resulting from storm events in Ware County, which spans 908 square miles and includes approximately 788 miles of public roadways.

The contract is a pre-event solicitation with no immediate costs to the county and will last for three years with an option to renew for an additional two years upon mutual consent.

Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive disaster-related debris removal services including:
1. Emergency disaster debris removal and disposal throughout the county as needed.
2. Preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation phases of natural or man-made disasters.
3. Operations management, logistical support, construction assistance, and technical services.
4. Mobilization of personnel and equipment within 24 hours following a work order issuance after a disaster event.
5. Removal of various types of debris including vegetative debris (trees, branches), construction and demolition debris (lumber, metal), household hazardous waste (materials posing safety hazards), fallen trees from public right-of-way, soil/mud/sand from public areas, and condemned structures posing safety threats.
6. Compliance with local regulations regarding hazardous waste management and recycling efforts.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period of three years with the possibility of two additional one-year renewals based on mutual agreement between the contractor and Ware County.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed throughout Ware County, Georgia.
