RFP 48401-DOT0003268 Right of Way Turnkey Acquisition Services - PI 0007836

Background
The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) to qualified firms for the provision of Right of Way Turnkey Acquisition Services. This initiative aims to procure services that are ancillary to the construction and maintenance of public roads, as defined under O.C.G.A § 32-1-3, § 32-2-64, and § 32-2-69.

The Department seeks technical and cost proposals from experienced contractors to fulfill these needs.

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide all necessary Right of Way Acquisition Services as detailed in EXHIBIT A: Department’s Scope of Work. This includes but is not limited to: conducting appraisals, negotiating with property owners, preparing necessary documentation for acquisitions, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

The Contractor must also manage any required inspections and coordinate with GDOT throughout the acquisition process. All products or services delivered must be inspected and accepted by GDOT before payment.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on the Effective Date and will have an initial term of one year. It may be renewed at the discretion of GDOT for additional one-year periods based on performance and funding availability.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed within the State of Georgia, specifically in areas where GDOT is undertaking road construction or maintenance projects requiring right-of-way acquisition.

Bidder Requirements
Contractors must be authorized to do business in the State of Georgia. They are required to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, including obtaining necessary licenses and permits.

Additionally, contractors must provide proof of insurance coverage as specified in ARTICLE #206, including general liability and workers' compensation insurance. Subcontractors must also be approved by GDOT prior to their engagement.
