Description

A 5G enabled living laboratory for startups and established companies to deploy and prove out developing technologies in a real-world testing environment with no roadblocks, joined by the next generation of intelligent mobility and smart city technology. Curiosity Lab is located in the 500-acre Technology Park with a three-mile public autonomous and advanced vehicle roadway leveraging cellular vehicle-to-everything (C-V2X) technologies. Additional infrastructure includes dedicated fiber, intelligent traffic cameras and traffic signals, smart streetlights, and a 25,000 square foot innovation center, where startups and corporate innovators create the future together. Addition of the infrastructure will assist with the validation of emerging technologies. Responding firms should have experience in all areas of expertise required by the scope of services. Responding firms should submit three examples of projects reflective of the subject of this RFP with at least one project of similar scale. Consultants are anticipated to provide the services for the installation of poles and boring to needed locations.

Background
The City of Peachtree Corners, located in Gwinnett County, Georgia, is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) for construction services related to the installation of infrastructure that supports a 5G enabled living laboratory.
This initiative aims to facilitate the deployment and validation of emerging technologies in a real-world environment.
The project is part of the Curiosity Lab, which encompasses a 500-acre Technology Park featuring advanced vehicle roadways and smart city technologies.

Work Details
The contractor will provide construction services that include:
- Grading complete
- Traffic control
- Installation of 5,200 linear feet of conduit (NM, TP 3, 2 inch)
- Directional boring for 5-inch conduits over 5,000 linear feet
- Installation of 24 black composite tower poles (35 ft each) along with 6 concrete box pads for ATC 322 cabinets.
The work will be performed at multiple locations including SR 141/Peachtree Parkway at Holcomb Bridge Road, Woodhill Drive, Jay Bird Alley/Technology Parkway, Engineering Drive, Spalding Drive, and Everett Ct/Wellington Lake Drive.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to be completed by March 14, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will take place in various locations within the City of Peachtree Corners, Gwinnett County, Georgia.
