Propane Fuel Delivery

Background
The Butts County Board of Commissioners is seeking competitively sealed bids from qualified vendors to provide propane fuel delivery services to various government locations within Butts County, Georgia. The goal of this contract is to ensure a reliable supply of propane for county operations, aligning with the county's mission to serve its residents effectively.

Work Details
The contractor will provide approximately 93,000 gallons (+/- 10%) of HDS grade propane delivered to specified locations including the Morgue, Animal Control, Senior Center, multiple Fire Stations, Recreation Department, Public Works, and E-911 Tower.

The contractor must reclaim all propane stored in existing county-leased tanks and replace them with their own tanks at no additional cost. Deliveries will be made either automatically or on a 'will-call' basis as per the county's discretion. The contractor is required to maintain detailed records of propane purchases and provide this information upon request. Additionally, the contractor must include service call labor prices in their bid and cannot add fees to invoices except those mandated by law.

Period of Performance
The contract will be for a term of 12 months with the possibility of renewal up to three times upon mutual agreement between the county and the successful bidder.

Services will be performed at various locations within Butts County, Georgia including:
- Morgue (154 Sylvan Dr.)
- Animal Control (158 Bibb Station Rd.)
- Senior Center (580 Ernest Biles Rd.)
- Fire Stations #3 (121 Keys Ferry Rd.), #6 (991 Halls Bridge Rd.), #7 (144 Colwell Rd.), #8 (1372 Hwy 42 S)
- Recreation Department (576 Ernest Biles Dr.)
- Public Works (1036 Brownlee Rd.)
- E-911 Tower (1 Hwy 16W).

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be licensed, insured, and bonded as required by Georgia law. They must also participate in E-Verify and submit an affidavit confirming compliance. A performance and payment bond equal to 100% of the total contract amount is required from the successful bidder. Additionally, bidders are encouraged to be small businesses or certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE).
