Parking Deck Repairs

Background
The City of Sandy Springs is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide all personnel, materials, and services necessary for the repair of the Parking Garage. This specifically targets the post-tensioned slab and pre-cast double tee components. The goal of this contract is to ensure the longevity and safety of the parking structure through comprehensive repairs. Sandy Springs, located in Atlanta's metro area, has a population of over 109,000 residents and utilizes a public-private partnership model for its municipal services.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:

1) Project Mobilization & Demobilization: Coordination and scheduling of materials, equipment, permits, and safety measures; restoration of the site for owner occupancy upon completion.

2) Concrete Repairs: Surface preparation for patching, installation of supplemental slab reinforcement (steel plates, post-installed anchors), and crack repair via routing, sealing, and epoxy injection.

3) Joint Sealants and Coatings: Removal and replacement of joint sealants at intersections; application of new traffic coatings to protect surfaces.

4) Shear Transfer Connection and Bearing Pad Repairs: Installation of shear transfer connections to restore structural integrity; replacement of bearing pads at key locations.

5) Execution Requirements: Marking work areas, obtaining approvals before repairs, compliance with local noise ordinances, adherence to ASTM standards for materials used.

6) Worksite Management: Ensuring accessibility to public areas during repairs; regular progress reporting; coordination with city officials.

7) Final Requirements: Submission of warranties and closeout documents upon project completion.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon execution and is expected to continue until project completion or one year from the effective date, whichever comes first.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Parking Garage located at 1 Galambos Way, Sandy Springs, GA 30328.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid General Contractor's License issued by the State of Georgia. Proposals must include evidence of qualifications demonstrating experience with similar projects within the last five years. Additionally, bidders are required to submit an executed Contract along with all executed Exhibits with their Proposal.
