Background
Tattnall County is seeking bids for the procurement of a new current production Cat 150/John Deere 770 GP tandem drive motor grader. The goal of this contract is to acquire a high-performance motor grader that meets specific operational requirements to support the county's infrastructure and maintenance needs.

Work Details
The contract entails the provision of one new current production Cat 150/John Deere 770 GP tandem drive motor grader with the following minimum specifications:
- Engine must develop no less than 180 net hp in 1st gear;
- Engine shall be a 4 stroke, 6-cylinder diesel engine;
- Transmission to have 8 forward gears and up to 8 reverse gears;
- Turbocharged engine with hydraulic reversing cooling fan;
- Minimum 215 net hp in 5th gear.

Hydraulic System: Lock valves integrated into the main implement valve to prevent cylinder drift; blade lift cylinders with independent float capability; dual joystick controls.

Front Axle and Tandems: Rear wheel drive only, front mount push block for counterweight.

Tires/Rims: New Goodyear or Firestone 12-Ply radial tires (1400X24) required, plus one extra mounted tire on a new rim.

Cab: Fully enclosed with heater, AC, AM/FM Bluetooth radio, auxiliary controls for sloper, cloth deluxe air suspension seat, retractable seat belt, telematics system, LED lights, deceleration pedal, horn, lockable engine closures.

Drawbar, Circle & Moldboard: Circle drive slip clutch required; moldboard dimensions of 14’ long X 24” high X 7/8” thick with overlay end bits and cutting edges.

Safety Items/Guards: Slow moving vehicle sign, back-up alarm, hydraulic implement lockout switch in cab, reversing lights, master disconnect switch with removable key, transmission guard, rear camera, roof-mounted strobe light or high visibility light package, rear wiper, outside mounted mirrors.

Attachments: “ROME” Sloper with adjustable side/rear mount and counterweight on front of grader.

Books/Forms: Operator’s Manual, Service Manual & Parts Manual Disc required along with warranty documentation and current brochure of the machine being bid.

Period of Performance
The delivery of the motor grader is anticipated to occur following the bid award process which concludes on February 27, 2025.

Place of Performance
The motor grader will be delivered to Tattnall County Shop located at Reidsville, GA.
