Hot Asphalt, Micro Surfacing & General Road Repair Services

Background
The Columbus Consolidated Government, known as Georgia’s First Consolidated Government, is seeking qualified vendors to provide hot asphalt, micro surfacing, and general road repair services. The goal of this contract is to ensure the maintenance and repair of roads within the city, supporting the mission of the Public Works Department and other city agencies that may require these services.

Work Details
The contractor will provide a range of services including: removing old asphalt, resurfacing roads, asphalt patching, concrete patching, milling existing asphalt paving, and other related road repair services on an as-needed basis.

The contract anticipates resurfacing approximately 20 to 25 miles per year. Specific requirements include compliance with Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) specifications for various asphalt mixes and micro-surfacing techniques. The vendor must be able to deliver hot asphalt within two hours of order placement and complete in-place work within seven days of notification.

Period of Performance
The contract term is three years with an option to renew for two additional twelve-month periods. Renewal is contingent upon mutual agreement between the City and the Contractor.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed within the geographic boundaries of Columbus, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with E-Verify requirements as per O.C.G.A. § 13-10-91 and provide a notarized affidavit confirming participation in the federal work authorization program. Additionally, bidders must furnish proof of insurance coverage as specified in the solicitation documents and demonstrate prior experience with similar projects.
