INVITATION TO BID: Sealed bids will be received from bidders by the ***GWINNETT COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION, 53 GWINNETT DRIVE, LAWRENCEVILLE, GEORGIA, 30046, CONFERENCE ROOM BUILDING -C-*** Until 3:00 PM, on Thursday, October 24, 2024 for construction of ***HARRIS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, HVAC RENOVATIONS, 3123 CLAIBORNE DR, DULUTH, GA 30096*** Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Interested parties are invited to attend. Fax transmittals and emails of Bid Proposal Forms will not be accepted by the Owner. No proposal will be accepted after time is called. No phone will be available.

Background
The Gwinnett County Board of Education is seeking sealed bids for the construction of HVAC renovations at Harris Elementary School located at 3123 Claiborne Dr., Duluth, GA 30096.
The goal of the contract is to improve the HVAC systems within the school to enhance comfort and efficiency for students and staff.

Work Details
The contract involves the construction of HVAC renovations at Harris Elementary School.
Bidders must obtain bid documents from the architect, Hussey Gay Bell, and are required to submit a bid bond equal to 5% of the base bid.
Successful bidders will need to provide a Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond, each equal to 100% of the Contract Sum.
Subcontractors for Fire Proofing, Mechanical/HVAC, Plumbing, Sprinkler, Electrical, and Roofing must also provide bonds equal to 100% of their respective work value.
Bidders must be licensed in Georgia and submit a completed Contract’s Qualification Statement (AIA Document A305) prior to obtaining bidding documents.
A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held on October 10th, 2024, at Harris Elementary School.

Period of Performance
The work is scheduled to start on May 22, 2025, with substantial completion required by July 21, 2025.
