Notice is hereby given that the Georgia State Financing and Investment Commission (GSFIC) will accept electronic bids on behalf of the Georgia Department of Corrections (Owner) for the project entitled Smith State Prison Underground Heating Loop Repl. in strict conformity with bidding and contract documents. The scope shall include replace underground heating supply and return loops, underground domestic hot water supply and return loops; replace six (6) hot water pumps in the boiler room; replace two (2) water to water heat exchangers in the boiler room GSFIC will use the e-Builder Project Management system to receive, review and store contractor bids and supporting documents. Additional information on this process and a link to the project site is provided below in the Invitation to Bid document and the e-Builder Registration & Bid Submittal User Guide.
Background
The Georgia State Financing and Investment Commission (GSFIC) is issuing this solicitation on behalf of the Georgia Department of Corrections. The mission of GSFIC is to provide financing and investment services for state projects, ensuring efficiency and accountability in public spending.

The goal of this contract is to replace the underground heating loop systems at Smith State Prison, which is essential for maintaining operational efficiency and safety within the facility.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
1. Replacement of underground heating supply and return loops.
2. Replacement of underground domestic hot water supply and return loops.
3. Replacement of six (6) hot water pumps located in the boiler room.
4. Replacement of two (2) water-to-water heat exchangers also located in the boiler room.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a specified period that begins after the bid opening on August 6, 2024, with exact timelines to be determined upon contract award.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Smith State Prison, located at 9676 Highway 301 N, Glennville, Georgia 30427.
