Fire Station Roof Replacement

Background
The Whitfield County Board of Commissioners is seeking proposals for the replacement of roofs at Fire Stations 7 through 10 in Whitfield County, Georgia. The goal of this contract is to ensure that the fire stations have durable and leak-proof roofing systems that meet safety and quality standards.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following services:
- Removal of all existing roofing materials.
- Replacement and/or installation of any missing or damaged/rotted decking and/or lathing.
- Installation of synthetic underlayment (Pro-Armor type or similar).
- Installation of Class 4, Impact Resistant Architectural Shingles (Black in color).
- Replacement and/or installation of necessary flashing, boots, hubs, trim caps, and other items to ensure a leak-proof roofing system.
- Replacement and/or installation of ridge vents and/or roof vents.
- Disposal of existing roofing materials and project waste will be the responsibility of the installer.
- All installations must comply with manufacturer recommendations.

Period of Performance
The project is scheduled to begin on October 8, 2024, following the signing of the contract on October 7, 2024. The timeline for completion should be discussed during the proposal process.
