Background
The City of Statesboro is seeking proposals for roadway improvements along Max Lockwood Drive, aimed at enhancing traffic flow and safety. The project will involve reconfiguring the road into a one-way thoroughfare and implementing traffic calming measures. The goal is to ensure that all private drives conform to standard commercial driveway specifications and to install a new storm pipe network for improved drainage. Additionally, an entrance will be added from Fair Road to the adjacent Statesboro/Bulloch County Parks and Recreation parking lot.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
- Reconfiguring Max Lockwood Drive into a one-way thoroughfare
- Installing traffic calming measures
- Ensuring compliance of private drives with commercial standards
- Constructing a new storm pipe network for drainage
- Clearing and grubbing
- Site grading
- Asphalt paving
- Concrete forming and pouring
- Installation of drainage pipes (various sizes including 15", 18", 24", 36" RCP)
- Installation of curb inlets, junction boxes, and manholes
- Utility connections including water mains and fire hydrants
- Erosion control measures such as silt fences and sediment traps
- Traffic control setup
- Paving and striping including asphalt superpave layers, concrete sidewalks, and various traffic signs.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence upon award with a completion timeline extending through the construction phases as detailed in the bid documents. Specific dates are subject to coordination during the pre-bid conference.

Place of Performance
The project will be performed along Max Lockwood Drive from SR 67/Fair Road to S. Zetterower Ave., within the City of Statesboro, Georgia.
