Building Additions at Valdosta High School

Background
The Valdosta City School District (VCSD) is seeking proposals from construction firms for the Building Additions at Valdosta High School. The project aims to enhance the facilities at the existing school site, which includes an Indoor Practice Facility, a Culinary Arts Lab, and modifications to the Soccer/Track Building.

The total budget for this project is $18,800,000.

Work Details
The project consists of site development and construction of the following:
1) An 80,000 square foot indoor practice facility for multiple sports and activities with an adjacent 11,000 square foot meeting space that includes a kitchen, restrooms, and storage;
2) A 3,800 square foot Culinary Arts Suite on the north wing of the existing school featuring a 1,500 square foot lab, a 660 square foot classroom, office space, laundry facilities, a pantry, a walk-in cooler, and mechanical space;
3) A 4,500 square foot addition to the existing track/soccer building that includes four locker rooms and a commons area. Modifications will also be made to enlarge concessions and increase restroom facilities.

Period of Performance
The anticipated construction period is from March 2025 to June 2026.
