BID 24-0165-5 Construction for Ogeechee Farms Fire Protection Project (ARPA)

Background
The Ogeechee Farms Fire Protection Project is initiated by Chatham County, Georgia, and is funded in part or in whole by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).
The project aims to enhance fire protection services in the area, ensuring safety and compliance with local regulations.
Construction will adhere to the plans and specifications provided in the supporting documents available on the Chatham County Purchasing Bonfire portal.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for various construction tasks as outlined in the project specifications.
Key components include:
- Clearing and grubbing of the site
- Earthwork for site preparation
- Erosion and sedimentation control measures
- Installation of storm drainage systems
- Construction of a water distribution system
- Cast-in-place concrete work
- Installation of fusible PVC for directional drilling.
All work must comply with applicable codes and standards, including Davis Bacon wage requirements, which necessitate certified payroll submissions to the Project Manager.

Period of Performance
Work shall commence within 10 days after receipt of the 'Notice to Proceed' and must be completed within 360 calendar days from that date.
