The Georgia World Congress Center Authority ( Authority ) will receive responses from firms specializing in air-side HVAC equipment replacement and/or modernization. The Authority retains the right to reject any or all submittals, and to waive technicalities, irregularities, and informalities, or cancel this procurement at any time. IMPORTANT- A RESTRICTION OF COMMUNICATION IS IN EFFECT FOR THIS PROJECT. From the time of advertisement of this solicitation until final award is made, interested firms are not allowed or permitted to communicate about this solicitation or scope with any staff or any official representatives of the Authority, GWCC, or other facilities of the Authority, or their consultants, except for submission of questions as instructed in the RFQ/RFP, or as provided by any existing work agreement(s). Finalists and Apparent Awardee(s) are restricted from making public statements or press releases about their selection as finalists or their apparent award. For violation of this restriction, the Authority reserves the right to reject the submittal of the offending respondent.
Background
The Georgia World Congress Center Authority (GWCCA) is seeking Statements of Qualifications from firms specializing in air-side HVAC equipment replacement and/or modernization for the Georgia World Congress Center located in Atlanta, Georgia. The goal is to ensure the highest level of service for venue customers and attendees, promoting a safe and positive experience that generates economic benefits for the state of Georgia and the city of Atlanta.

Work Details
The project involves developing a design and master plan for the replacement and/or modernization of all air-side HVAC equipment throughout the 3.9 million-square-foot facility. Specific tasks include:

- Assessment of existing HVAC equipment to determine whether to replace or modernize each category.
- Development of drawings, specifications, and narratives to a Design Development level.
- Creation of a master plan for phasing equipment replacement, starting with ten rooftop units (RTUs) serving Building B Halls B1, B2, and B3.
- Preparation of Construction Documents for these ten RTUs, matching units EX-S-2, EX-S-3, EX-S-4, and EX-S-7.
- Provision of Construction Administration services during implementation.
- Coordination with an Energy Performance Contract (EPC) team to ensure compatibility with ongoing energy upgrades.

Period of Performance
The project schedule will be developed with the successful firm following their selection. The RFQ was issued on March 27, 2025, with qualifications due by April 16, 2025.
