24-915 Disaster Debris Removal Services

Background
The Augusta-Richmond County Engineering and Environmental Services Department is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) for Disaster Debris Removal Services. This contract is part of a federally funded program that adheres to FEMA regulations, specifically 44 C.F.R. §13.36. The goal of the contract is to provide effective debris removal services in response to emergencies, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing disaster debris removal services which may include but are not limited to: collection, transportation, and disposal of debris resulting from disasters.

The contractor must ensure that all operations comply with FEMA guidelines and local regulations. Specific tasks may involve clearing roads, removing hazardous materials, and managing waste disposal in an environmentally responsible manner.

Additionally, the contractor must provide a performance bond and payment bond upon activation of the contract following a disaster.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon execution of the agreement and will remain in effect until the completion of services as determined by Augusta-Richmond County or until further notice.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed within Augusta-Richmond County, Georgia.
