24-022 Low Water Drain Cipp Rehabilitation Murphey Candler Lake Dam

Background
The City of Brookhaven is issuing this solicitation for competitive sealed bids from qualified contractors for the rehabilitation of the Low Water Drain (LWD) at Murphey Candler Lake Dam. This project is part of the Department of Public Works' efforts to maintain infrastructure and ensure safety standards. The work will adhere to various contract documents, including construction plans and specifications set forth by the City and Georgia Department of Transportation.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary for the cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) rehabilitation of the corrugated metal pipe (CMP) Low Water Drain at Murphey Candler Lake Dam. The scope includes:

- Dewatering of the work area for the duration of the project.
- Implementation of erosion and sediment control practices.
- Maintenance activities around the spillway as outlined in additional construction documents.
- Conducting an Aerial LiDAR survey of the dewatered lakebed to provide volumetric information.
- Compliance with Georgia Department of Transportation Standard Specifications throughout all phases of work.

Period of Performance
The contract duration is 240 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed, with substantial completion expected within 150 calendar days. Refilling of the reservoir will occur over a period not exceeding 90 calendar days following substantial completion.

The work will be performed at Murphey Candler Lake Dam, located in Brookhaven, Georgia.
