2025-WR-07 Natural Treatment System Roof Replacement

Background
The Clayton County Water Authority (CCWA) is issuing a Request for Bids for the Natural Treatment System Roof Replacement project, identified as Bid Number 2025-WR-07. The purpose of this project is to replace the existing roof at the Natural Treatment System located at 1791 Freeman Road, Jonesboro, GA 30236.

The CCWA aims to ensure the integrity and functionality of its facilities through this necessary maintenance work.

Work Details
The scope of work includes the installation of a Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) roof membrane system. This involves:

- Tearing off the existing roof and perlite down to the metal decking;
- Installing new wood blocking around the entire perimeter to achieve a new roof height;
- Mechanically fastening two layers of 2.2" ISO insulation according to manufacturer specifications;
- Installing new ISO taper crickets at drains for adequate drainage;
- Fabricating and installing a new 24-gauge gravel stop around the perimeter of the roof;
- Flashing all miscellaneous protrusions and mechanical equipment using TPO membrane and 24-gauge counter flashing as required by manufacturer specifications.

The total area of the roof to be replaced measures approximately 3900 square feet.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence within fourteen (14) calendar days following the Notice of Award and must be completed within one hundred eighty (180) calendar days from the Notice to Proceed.

The work will be performed at the Natural Treatment System located at 1791 Freeman Road, Jonesboro, Georgia 30236.
