2025 ES-MS Flooring RFP

Background
The Rabun County Board of Education is seeking bids for a flooring replacement project at Rabun County Elementary School and Rabun County Middle School. The goal of this contract is to renovate and replace the flooring in various areas of the schools to enhance the learning environment.

Work Details
The project includes the following renovations/replacements:

1. ES Media Center/Offices/Bathroom (Approx. 4100 sq ft):
- Removal of all carpet and baseboard.
- Clean and prep floor for new carpet tiles.
- Use Interface ‘The Standard - Brownstone’.
- Apply Black 5” baseboard where needed.
- Bathroom: scuff VCT and cover with LVT.
- Office x 2: remove carpet and replace.
- Sound/video room: scuff VCT and cover with LVT.

2. ES 7 Classrooms (Approx. 5500 sq ft):
- Scuff existing VCT tile and prep for LVT.
- Remove old baseboard.
- Use Interface LVT A00409 Ash Walnut.
- Apply Black 4” baseboard where needed.
- Provide any transition at classroom entry doorway.

3. ES 1 Teacher Workroom with attached bathrooms (Approx. 555 sq ft):
- Scuff existing VCT tile and prep for LVT.
- Remove old baseboard.
- Use Interface LVT A00409 Ash Walnut.
- Apply Black 4” baseboard where needed.
- Provide any transition at workroom entry doorway and bathroom doorways.

4. MS 1 Technology Lab (Approx. 1000 sq ft):
- Removal of all carpet and baseboard.
- Use Interface LVT A00409 Ash Walnut.
- Apply Black 5” baseboard where needed.
- Provide any transition at classroom entry doorway.

5. All packing/shipping materials, old carpet, baseboard, buckets, etc., will be discarded by the contractor.

Period of Performance
Work dates are scheduled from May 29, 2025, to July 18, 2025. Equipment and material may be staged onsite prior to May 29, 2025, with agreement between Contractor and RCBOE.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at Rabun County Elementary School and Rabun County Middle School located in Tiger, GA.
