2025-04 FWY Treatment plant Repair and Resurfacing Project

Background
The City of Sandersville is seeking a qualified Contractor to provide repairing and resurfacing services for the road leading to the Treatment Plant. The project focuses on the road located at 1100 Fall Line FWY Treatment Plant Dr., which is approximately 940 feet long and 13 feet wide. The goal of this contract is to ensure the road is adequately repaired and resurfaced to maintain safe access to the Treatment Plant.

Work Details
The Contractor will furnish all labor, tools, materials, and equipment necessary for the street resurfacing. The scope includes:
- Making repairs to the existing road.
- Adding a 6-inch layer of asphalt over the repaired areas.
- Sweeping all surfaces clean prior to asphalt placement, including removal of mud, dirt, rocks, and debris.
- Adjusting manholes, water valves, street grates, and other boxes in the existing pavement to accommodate a 1.5-inch thick overlay.
- Ensuring local traffic can use streets during reconstruction and that private entrances remain passable.
- Utilizing appropriate signage and barricades for public safety during construction.

Period of Performance
The work is expected to commence within three months after the bid award and must be completed in accordance with the contract documents.

The contract will be performed at 1100 Fall Line FWY Treatment Plant Dr., Sandersville, GA.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must submit a sealed envelope clearly marked 'WWTP Repairing & Resurfacing Project' containing three copies of their bid along with required documentation including: W-9 Form, notarized E-Verify Contractor Affidavit, notarized SAVE Affidavit, Occupational Tax Certificate, General Public Liability and Property Damage Insurance Certificate (minimum $1 million), and Worker’s Compensation Proof of Insurance (for more than three employees).
