Wills Branch Creek Dredging

Background
The City of Jacksonville's Public Works Department is issuing a solicitation for the Wills Branch Creek Dredging project. The goal of this contract is to provide necessary labor, materials, and equipment to perform dredging operations, which are essential for maintaining the creek's functionality and environmental health.

This project aims to enhance water flow and reduce flooding risks in the area.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for:
- Dredging/excavating, transportation, and disposal of material from Wills Creek as indicated in the contract plans.
- Installation and maintenance of temporary turbidity controls associated with the project construction.
- Clearing the banks of all debris and vegetation, including replacing rubble rip rap slope protection as specified in the contract plans.
- Site preparation including clearing and grubbing, earthwork, bank stabilization, erosion control, pollution abatement, and grassing.

The construction area includes dredging from east of Old Middleburg Road to approximately 2000 feet east of Lane Avenue within City property, rights-of-way, and easements delineated on the contract drawings.

Period of Performance
The Base Bid work shall be completed within 210 calendar days from the notice to proceed.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Wills Branch Creek located within the limits of the City of Jacksonville, Florida.
