SunTrax Test Facility Operator

Background
The Florida Department of Transportation, through Florida's Turnpike Enterprise, is seeking qualified respondents for a contract to maintain and operate the SunTrax® Test Facility.
The goal is to advance transportation technologies and improve safety, efficiency, and accessibility in transportation systems.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of the SunTrax Test Facility, including:
- Operations of Infield Test Sectors
- Shared operations of the Highway-Speed Oval
- Management of existing equipment to support research and testing of transportation technology systems.
- Providing simulation, engineering, testing, and validation services to ensure comprehensive testing support.
- Collaborating with academic institutions to promote transportation research activities.
- Supporting new research opportunities focused on digital infrastructure and advanced data analytics.

Period of Performance
The initial term of the contract is anticipated to begin on or about August 1, 2025, lasting for five years with potential renewals for up to five additional years based on performance evaluations and funding availability.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the SunTrax Test Facility located at 100 Transformation Way, Auburndale, Florida 33823.
