Sunshine 811 Utility Locating Service

Background
The City of Jacksonville, Florida, through its Department of Public Works, is seeking to procure utility locating services from Sunshine State One-Call of Florida, Inc. (dba Sunshine 811). This service is mandated by Florida Statute 556, known as the Underground Facility Damage Prevention and Safety Act. It requires the identification and location of underground utilities prior to excavation or demolition activities. Sunshine 811 is the only agency authorized in Florida to provide these services.
