Miami-Dade County (County), Strategic Procurement Department (SPD) is sending out this notification to the vendor community to reach out to potential vendors that may be interested in joining prequalification (pool) Pool No. RTQ-02029, titled Plant Material and Tree Services. This pool is for the purchase of plant material such as trees, shrubs, palms, flowers, ground covers, vines, sod, seeds, and cuttings, as well as installation and removal of such plant material on an as-needed basis. The pool also provides tree services such as trimming, thinning, shaping, transplanting, relocating, resetting, watering, and mulching, as well as disposal services for solid waste and plant debris associated with planting projects. Placement, in the pool is not a contract between the County and any vendor, but an acknowledgment that included vendors meet the qualifications listed on the subject pool. Prequalified vendors will be invited to participate in future competitions on an as needed basis. The pool shall and has remained open for submitters to qualify at any time after the initial pool establishment. Background
Miami-Dade County's Strategic Procurement Department (SPD) is seeking to establish a prequalification pool (Pool No. RTQ-02029) for vendors interested in providing plant material and tree services.
The goal of this contract is to facilitate the procurement of various plant materials and related services to support the County's landscaping and environmental initiatives.
Work Details
The prequalified pool will cover the following products and services:
1. Purchase of plant materials including trees, shrubs, palms, flowers, ground covers, vines, sod, seeds, and cuttings.
2. Installation and removal of plant materials on an as-needed basis.
3. Tree services such as trimming, thinning, shaping, transplanting, relocating, resetting, watering, and mulching.
4. Disposal services for solid waste and plant debris associated with planting projects.
5. Specific groups within the pool include:
- Group 1: Furnish Plant Material
- Group 2: Furnish and Install Plant Material
- Group 3: Tree Services (with Arborist)
- Group 4: Tree Services (without Arborist)
- Group 5: Disposal Services of Solid Waste
- Group 6: Disposal Services of Plant Debris.
Period of Performance
The pool will be established on the first calendar day of the month succeeding approval by the Board of County Commissioners.
It will remain open for five years unless otherwise stipulated in a Purchase Order issued by the County.
Place of Performance
The contract will be performed within Miami-Dade County.
