Background
The Florida Department of Health, Division of Disease Control and Health Protection, Bureau of Environmental Public Health, has the need to purchase Short-term Passive Radon Test Kits (Test Kits) for distribution to Florida residents to expand radon testing, mitigation, and data collection in new and existing structures. The Department is required to expand radon testing, mitigation, and data collection in new and existing structures as per the Environmental Protection Agency State Indoor Radon Grant (SIRG) Award K-004773220. The Department made four attempts to competitively procure the requested services through an Invitation to Bid which was posted on the Vendor Information Portal and received no bids. For this reason, it is in the best interest of the Department to proceed with Radon Testing Corporation of America.

Work Details
The services required include analyzing the Test Kits returned to the Provider’s lab, creating and sending laboratory reports, and conducting quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) procedures.
