Professional Learning Marketplace

Background
The State of Florida Department of Education is seeking to establish a Professional Learning Marketplace through this Request for Proposal (RFP) to assist teachers, schools, school administrators, and districts in identifying high-quality professional learning programs and resources.

This initiative aims to enhance the skills and effectiveness of Florida’s educators, aligning with the mission to provide high-quality education for all students. The Educator Retention Team believes that meaningful professional learning is crucial for positive educational outcomes and aims to remove barriers to certification.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for creating, developing, and maintaining an online platform that connects educators with high-quality professional learning vendors. Key responsibilities include:

- Collaborating with the Department to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- Managing an online platform hosting vendor profiles.
- Ensuring platform performance.
- Solidifying professional learning needs based on Florida Professional Learning Standards.
- Establishing an application process for vendors.
- Identifying vendors that meet specific criteria.
- Creating comprehensive vendor profiles that include types of support offered, areas of expertise, successful partnerships, geographic areas of operation, sample scopes of work, capacity-building examples, and aligned services.

The outcome will be an accessible marketplace where users can evaluate and participate in tailored professional learning programs.

Period of Performance
The contract term is anticipated to begin upon execution and will be effective for twelve (12) months thereafter. There is an option for renewal for up to three (3) one-year terms.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed in Florida as the marketplace will cater specifically to Florida's educators and educational institutions.
