Operation of Downtown Dining/Luxury Boat Service

Background
The City of Jacksonville's Parks, Recreation and Community Service Department, Natural & Marine Resources is seeking proposals for the operation of a Downtown Dining/Luxury Boat Service. This initiative aims to generate revenue while providing dining experiences on the city's waterways. The contractor will be responsible for operating a dining/luxury boat that offers food and beverage services, enhancing the recreational offerings in downtown Jacksonville.

Work Details
The contractor is required to operate a Dining/Luxury Boat with food and beverage service or similar services on Jacksonville's downtown waterways. The boat will utilize the City’s fixed pier on the Southbank Riverwalk for docking, loading, and unloading passengers once the submerged land lease with the State is modified. A temporary docking location will be identified at City-owned Shipyards property along the Northbank until then.

The contractor must provide a minimum of one Dining/Luxury Boat with a large outside deck and must offer at least 24 public cruise events per year in addition to private events. Securing parking spaces for dinner cruise customers at any approved docking location will be the responsibility of the contractor. The vessel(s) must be Coast Guard stability tested and approved for a minimum of 175 passengers and must have current USCG certification.

Period of Performance
The initial term of the agreement will be ten (10) years from the date of award, with two (2) five (5) year renewal options subject to mutual agreement.

Place of Performance
The majority of services shall be performed within Duval County, Florida.
