Lift Station 7W Replacement Project

Background
The Lift Station 7W Replacement Project is initiated by the City of Winter Springs, focusing on the replacement of an existing lift station within the Western Wastewater Service Area.

The project aims to enhance wastewater management capabilities and ensure compliance with current standards.

Work Details
The project includes the following key tasks:
- Grading of the site
- Removal and replacement of existing chain link fencing and gates
- Installation of three new sanitary manholes
- Modification of two existing manholes
- Removal of existing VCP sanitary sewer pipe
- Grouting and abandoning existing PVC sewer pipe
- Installation of various sizes of PVC sanitary sewer pipes (8-inch, 21-inch, and 24-inch)

Additionally, a new concrete Triplex Lift Station (10-foot diameter, 26-foot deep) will be installed along with a 16-inch DIP force main. The project also involves connections to existing force main systems and taps into potable and reclaimed water systems.

Other tasks include abandoning existing wet-well and dry-well structures, installing a new concrete driveway and sidewalk, setting up a pre-fabricated concrete electrical building, removing old generators and control panels, and installing new electrical equipment including a 125 kW diesel generator.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence in July 2024 with specific timelines for each phase outlined in the project schedule.

The work will be performed within the City of Winter Springs, specifically in the Western Wastewater Service Area.
