Installation of Underground Electric Infrastructure

Background
The City of Jacksonville Beach, operating as Beaches Energy Services, is seeking experienced and qualified contractors to install underground electric infrastructure. This initiative aims to facilitate the installation, renewal, and replacement of both new and existing underground electric facilities. Additionally, contractors will assist Beaches Energy Services staff in restoring services during emergency situations.

The responses to this Request for Proposals (RFP) will be evaluated by a Selection Committee based on the criteria outlined in the solicitation.

Work Details
Contractors are required to provide all labor, equipment, materials, and supplies necessary for the installation of underground conduits, manholes, cables, concrete cable boxes, and other related apparatus as specified in the drawings. The work will be performed on an as-needed basis and includes assistance during emergencies. Contractors must demonstrate capability through verifiable evidence of satisfactory performance on similar projects.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective for five (5) years from the date of award or Notice to Proceed, whichever is later. The contract may be extended month-to-month if re-advertisement is necessary.

Place of Performance
The work will take place within the jurisdiction of Jacksonville Beach, Florida.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have the necessary licensing and experience in providing similar services. They must provide references for at least three similar projects. Additionally, bidders are required to complete various forms including a Non-Collusion Affidavit and Drug-Free Workplace Compliance Form.

Insurance requirements include general liability coverage with specified limits and naming the City as an additional insured.
