GTL LOX Storage Back Pressure Regulating System

Background
The City of Fort Lauderdale, Florida is seeking bids from qualified firms to provide demolition and removal of the existing Economizer/Pressure Build-up Circuit with a Back Pressure Regulating System at the GTL Waste Water Treatment Plant.

This project aims to enhance the efficiency and safety of the Liquid Oxygen Storage Tanks at the facility, which has a total capacity of 180 tons. The existing system regulates pressures in the LOX Storage Tanks between 25-30 psig.

Work Details
The work includes:
1. Demolition and removal of the existing Economizer/Pressure Build-up Circuit.
2. Installation of a complete Back Pressure Regulating System, including:
- A back pressure regulator
- One star-fin heat exchanger coil
- Block valves and pressure relief valves as necessary.
All components must be compatible with liquid oxygen and cleaned for oxygen service.
3. Replacement of approximately 35 feet of aluminum jacketed insulation for 1 ½" LOX pipes.
4. Replacement of a 1 ½" Teflon gasket between flanges on LOX Draw pipes for 'C' Vaporizer.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a specified period as determined by the awarded contractor's timeline and project schedule, which will be established upon contract award.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the George T Lohmeyer Water Treatment Plant located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
