General Contractors Continuing Contracts - Tallahassee Region

Background
The State of Florida, Department of Management Services (DMS) Division of Real Estate Development and Management is seeking qualifications from General Contracting firms for continuing contracts in the Tallahassee region. The goal is to engage contractors capable of performing construction projects with budgets up to $200,000.

The selected firms will be activated for various projects in the Tallahassee area. The initial term of the contracts will be for two years, with an option to renew for an additional two years.

Work Details
General Contractor firms must have proven experience in cost-effective construction services including remodeling and repairing existing occupied buildings, tenant improvements, building system upgrades, re-glazing, and waterproofing exterior building envelopes.

All respondents must have an office within 99 road miles of the State Capitol in Tallahassee. Selected contractors are required to provide a 100% Labor and Materials Bond and a 100% Performance Bond for projects ranging from $100,000 to $200,000. They must also demonstrate the ability to bring multiple qualified subcontractors for successful project delivery and comply with Florida Department of Law Enforcement background checks.

Period of Performance
The initial contract term is two years with an option to renew for an additional two years. The anticipated contract start date is March 25, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in the Tallahassee region of Florida.
