Work Details
Contractor(s) shall furnish all labor, materials, supervision, and equipment necessary for electric motor and pump repair services. This includes troubleshooting, maintenance, repair or replacement of electric motors and pumps on a task order basis. Specific tasks include dismantling, inspection, steam cleaning, testing of windings, replacement of seals and bearings, machining of shafts and impellers, assembly and testing. Testing shall verify loaded amperage and gallons per minute (gpm). All materials used must be OEM or equivalent specifications. Bidders must provide pricing for labor rates including regular hours, overtime, travel time charges based on IRS mileage rates, and a markup on parts not exceeding 10%. Equipment pickups must be scheduled 24 hours in advance with a boom truck provided by the Contractor at no additional charge. Emergency repairs require a response within two hours.
Period of Performance
The initial contract term will be five years from the date of award. The City may extend this term with written notice at least 30 days prior to expiration.
Place of Performance
Work will be performed at the Contractor's facility or at the City’s facilities as needed.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have a minimum of three years' experience in providing similar services without subcontracting any part thereof. They must submit references from work performed within the last three years and provide documentation proving their ability to perform the required work. Contractors are required to maintain insurance coverage as specified in the solicitation documents.
