Distributed Antenna System

Background
Miami-Dade County, through the Miami-Dade Aviation Department (MDAD), is seeking proposals for a neutral host converged network Distributed Antenna System (DAS) to enhance cellular network services at Miami International Airport (MIA).
The goal is to finance, design, build, manage, operate, and maintain the DAS to support cellular users effectively.
The selected contractor will enter into an Operating and Use Agreement with the County for a ten-year term, with an option for a five-year renewal.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for:
1. Financing, designing, building, managing, operating, and maintaining a new neutral host DAS network at MIA.
2. Ensuring seamless transition from the existing DAS operated by T-Mobile without service interruptions.
3. Providing enhanced wireless service coverage and quality for all wireless service providers (WSPs) in both public and non-public areas of the airport.
4. Decommissioning any legacy systems once the new DAS is operational.
5. Coordinating with MDAD to include operations of existing Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) networks as part of the scope if necessary.
6. Generating revenue from DAS services while paying an annual license fee and revenue share to the County.

Period of Performance
The contract will be executed over a ten-year period with an option for one additional five-year renewal at MDAD's discretion.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Miami International Airport (MIA), located in Miami-Dade County, Florida.
