The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is seeking competitive bids for fence line removal, fence and gate installation, right-of-way vegetation clearing, and fire line installation on Dinner Island Ranch Wildlife Management Area, in Hendry County, in accordance with the specifications contained herein.

A vendor submitting a bid should be registered in the MyFloridaMarketPlace (MFMP) system and with Sunbiz prior to the bid opening.

Background
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is responsible for managing fish and wildlife resources for their long-term well-being and the benefit of people. The FWC administers various programs including habitat and species conservation, freshwater fisheries management, law enforcement, marine fisheries management, hunting and game management, and fish and wildlife research. This solicitation seeks competitive bids for the Dinner Island Ranch Wildlife Management Area Fence Line Project in Hendry County, which involves significant fencing work to enhance wildlife management efforts.

Work Details
The awarded contractor will perform the following tasks:
1. Remove approximately 105,650 linear feet of existing barbed wire fence.
2. Install approximately 201,300 linear feet of new 5-strand barbed wire fencing.
3. Install 165 individual 16-foot gates, 22 double 12-foot gates, and 14 individual 3-foot pedestrian spring back gates.
4. Clear vegetation within a 50-foot right-of-way interior to the gates and fence line.
5. Prepare fire lines up to 27 miles along the fence line as budget allows, including leveling and grading of the surface.

Bidders must provide pricing for:
- Fence removal per linear foot
- Fence installation per linear foot
- Right-of-way clearing per tenth of a mile
- Replacement gate price
- Fire line installation per tenth mile.

The contractor is responsible for compliance with all federal, state, and local guidelines regarding wetlands disturbance, obtaining necessary permissions from property owners, locating underground utilities before digging, and ensuring all equipment is clean to prevent contamination by non-native species.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective for two years from the issuance of the Purchase Order. Work must commence within thirty days of purchase order issuance unless otherwise directed by the FWC Project Manager.
