Background
Miami-Dade County, through its Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department (PROS), is seeking professional services for the Ludlam Trail Development project. This initiative aligns with the Miami-Dade County Parks and Open Space Master Plan, which aims to create an interconnected trail system that enhances regional mobility, promotes active lifestyles, and stimulates economic vitality.

The Ludlam Trail is a critical component of this vision, providing connectivity to various planned trails and transit stations in the area.

Work Details
The selected consultant will provide comprehensive services including:
- Design and construction documents for a 5.6-mile shared-use trail along the former Florida East Coast Railroad corridor.
- Permitting assistance and construction administration services.
- Community engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
- Integration of sustainable practices to achieve Envision Silver Certification, focusing on ecological performance and flood risk reduction measures.
- Coordination with various stakeholders including developers of adjacent areas and regulatory agencies.
- Development of amenities such as shelters, wayfinding signage, lighting, and landscaping that supports stormwater management.
- Preparation of technical specifications, project schedules, cost estimates, and support during bidding processes.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective for five (5) years from the date of award.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in Miami-Dade County, specifically along the proposed Ludlam Trail corridor located approximately 400 ft north of NW 7th Street between 69th - 70th Avenues.
