24-024 Waste Collection Services for City of Pensacola Facilities

Background
This bid is for a one-year agreement for garbage pickup and disposal services for the City of Pensacola. The agreement will be renewable, upon mutual consent by the City and the Contractor, on an annual basis, with the first term effective from May 1, 2024 through April 30, 2025.

Work Details
The successful bidder is required to furnish all labor and equipment including dumpsters necessary to collect and properly dispose of all garbage and trash in compliance with all applicable laws, codes, and regulations. The service will include dumpster rental and services for various facilities with specific requirements for dumpster types, cleaning, and replacement.
The bidder must also list the cost of an additional pickup under emergency conditions. Yolanda Reed-Fisher from the Parks and Recreation department is designated as the sole person to call the successful bidder for additional dumpsters, reduction in dumpsters, and any additional or emergency pickups. Payments are to be made on a monthly basis, subject to a pro-rate basis for partial months.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective from May 1, 2024 through April 30, 2025.

Place of Performance
The waste collection services will be performed at various locations within the City of Pensacola.
