Sussex County Court of Chancery Roof Replacement

Background
The State of Delaware, through the Office of Management and Budget, Division of Facilities Management, is issuing a contract for the roof replacement at the Sussex County Court of Chancery located at 34 The Circle, Georgetown, Delaware 19947.

The project aims to address existing roofing issues by replacing both low-slope and steep-slope roof systems to ensure the integrity and functionality of the courthouse.

Work Details
The project involves the removal and replacement of existing roofing systems. Specific tasks include:
- Demolition of current roofing materials as per the Roof Demolition Plan (AD101).
- Installation of new roofing systems including synthetic slate shingles (07 31 39) and thermoplastic membrane roofing (07 54 00).
- Application of sheet metal flashing and trim (07 62 00) as well as installation of roof specialties such as manufactured gutters and downspouts (07 71 23).
- Installation of roof hatches (07 72 33) and snow guards (07 72 53).
- Application of joint sealants (07 92 00) to ensure waterproofing.

Compliance with all relevant safety regulations and quality standards will be maintained throughout the construction process.

Period of Performance
The work is expected to commence upon contract award and must be completed by July 31, 2024.
