Americorps Formula Grant Applications 2025-2026

Background
The State of Delaware Department of Health and Social Services is seeking professional services to operate projects that address critical community needs through AmeriCorps State grants. These grants support a variety of local service programs engaging Americans in intensive service. The RFP is issued under Delaware law, specifically 29 Del. C. §§ 6981 and 6982.

Work Details
The selected vendor will provide services under the following focus areas:

1. Disaster Services: Support for disaster preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation.

2. Economic Opportunity: Facilitation of access to services that enhance financial literacy and improve economic well-being for disadvantaged individuals.

3. Education: Support for improved educational outcomes for economically disadvantaged children and youth.

4. Environmental Stewardship: Programs aimed at conserving natural habitats and promoting responsible environmental practices.

5. Healthy Futures: Activities to improve access to health care and promote physical activity among youth.

6. Veterans and Military Families: Initiatives to enhance the quality of life for veterans and their families.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a one-year period with no optional renewals, starting from the date of contract execution.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed within the State of Delaware.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must possess necessary Delaware licenses or certifications to perform the required services, provide proof of insurance prior to contract commencement, and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws. Additionally, vendors must attest that they will not store or transfer non-public State data outside the United States.
