Absalom Jones Senior Center - Roof Replacement

Background
The contract is issued by the State of Delaware, Office of Management and Budget, Division of Facilities Management.

The project aims to replace the roof of the Absalom Jones Senior Center, ensuring the facility remains functional and safe for its users.

Work Details
The project involves the complete removal of the existing roof system down to the existing roof deck. This includes edge metals, interior roof drains, conductor heads, and downspouts.

A new membrane roofing system with raised parapets will be installed, which includes edge metals, scuppers, conductor heads, and downspouts. Additionally, existing skylights and roof access hatches will be replaced including curbs. All existing mechanical curbs will be removed and replaced.

The project also includes refinishing existing roof access ladders and adding new walk mats.

Period of Performance
The work is expected to commence after the bid opening on February 27, 2025, with specific timelines to be determined during contract execution.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Absalom Jones Senior Center located in Delaware.
